Scott D’Aniello is a Managing Partner at Specialty Outsourced Sales LLC located in New Haven County, Connecticut. Prior to founding SOS, Scott enjoyed a 25-year sales career holding such titles as National Sales Manager, Director of HVACR and Vice President of Industrial at Cooper-Atkins Corporation and Emerson Retail Solutions located in Middlefield, CT.
Scott possesses extensive knowledge and experience successfully selling SaaS software solutions for use cases in many varied industries, including, Food Retail (QSR Chain, C-Store, Grocery), Industrial and Military government contracts, to provide Safe Food and Drug compliance for FDA CFR21, Part 11 through HACCP Plan safety, as well as promoting production safety for manufacturing contractors.
Scott had management oversight over a high volume division and its sales force of 100+ manufacturer sales representatives and direct sales staff. His responsibilities included development of divisional Sales Quotas, Sales Forecasting, T&E/direct customer engagement, as well as P&L and Income Statement Management. Scott oversaw field research to develop market-aligned pricing for products and services in support of the preservation of profit margins and EBITDA. He aligned product road mapping with CAGR by customer and product line. Under Scott’s leadership, the division maintained the highest gross profit (60+%) and, most importantly, one of the highest net profit (30+%) of the divisions at Cooper-Atkins Corporation. Scott believes that providing high quality products and solutions at a fair price, with superior customer service after the sale, all combine to grow market share for software providers.
Scott is an intense listener with a dynamic and warm personality. He possesses a willingness to learn, understand, act, counsel, and make recommendations to help shape solutions to address and alleviate customer challenges and pain points. Scott has contributed his sales observations to developing tailored, turnkey SaaS model solutions for big brands such as Big Box Stores, Food Retail Grocery Chains, C-Stores, Food Processors, online retailers and Big Pharma.
Customers, coworkers, and friends can all attest that “no, we can’t do that” is not a phrase in Scott’s lexicon. Through diligence, devoted customer service, and outside-the-box thinking, he finds creative ways of getting to “yes.” This philosophy and customer-focused work ethic has won Scott numerous sales awards over his career.
Scott is an avid boater and, during the season, he and his wife are often found on their vessel “Valhalla,” motoring around the Long Island Sound and beyond.
